SCHOOL VOLUNTEERING

JRS_7739

Volunteering through schools

School volunteering is about learning through experience, building empathy, understanding and connection while supporting a space that values dignity and care.

We welcome school communities to take part in age-appropriate volunteering opportunities that help students see the importance of kindness, respect and looking out for one another. Whether through hands-on support or shared activities, students and staff become part of a wider community where people matter.

What volunteering looks like

School volunteering opportunities are designed to be safe, supported and meaningful.

Activities may include helping prepare or pack meals, supporting simple tasks, or taking part in structured service projects that suit the age and experience of students.

How it works

All school volunteering is coordinated closely with our team to ensure students feel comfortable, supported and clear about expectations. Teachers and supervisors are involved throughout, and activities are tailored to align with school requirements.

To get started, schools will:

  • Get in touch to discuss suitable opportunities for their students
  • Ensure required permissions and supervision are in place
  • Complete any necessary orientation or documentation, as guided by our team

We’ll work with you to make sure the experience is positive, respectful and well-supported for everyone involved.
