We are living in challenging times, homelessness is on the rise and our brothers and sisters need us more than ever.
On any given night 5,813 people in Brisbane do not a place to call home, instead they are staying in crisis accommodation, rooming houses, overcrowded dwellings, couch surfing or even sleeping rough on the streets.
At Emmanuel City Mission, we understand every individual experiencing homelessness has a unique set of circumstances and therefore unique requirements around the support they require. This is why our mission is to provide a safe, welcoming space for all to visit and feel like they belong. We are proud of the community we have built and know that our visitors continue to come through our doors because we always welcome them with kindness.
Over the past 12 months, demand for our services has seen a dramatic increase, with up to 120 visitors walking through our doors everyday. With your monthly support we can continue to welcome the hungry and the lonely through our door and give them the home they deserve.
