Photography exhibition

The Emmanuel City Mission photography competition has been running for the past four years and gives visitors to the centre an opportunity to express themselves artistically and tell stories about their experiences with sleeping rough and homelessness.

Thanks to our generous partners and sponsors, this unique event is one our visitors look forward to every year. It is a chance for them to work together to capture moments with their disposable cameras, generously donated by Fuji Film, that encapsulates their experiences on the streets.

This year there were a whopping 2,000 entries with 13 prizes up for grabs. We were even lucky enough to have Lady Mayoress Nina Schrinner, as a guest judge.

The winning photograph, as featured above, was taken by Jaimie, a regular at Emmanuel City Mission, and he won a $500 Coles voucher.

This annual event would not be possible without our amazing and generous partners and sponsors, so a huge thank you to everyone who was involved.

We can't wait to do it all again next year.
